Meet The Founder

Neil J Dunbar

Neil, founder of NJDSR, has a City & Guilds Certificate in Chocolate Cocoa and Sugar Confectionery from the Southeast London Technical College, London, UK and worked for Plaistowe Confectionery, Perth, WA, as well as Lifesavers Australasia, Sydney, NSW.

In 1978, and with a passion for Geology, Neil joined Main Roads Dept. at their Pilbara laboratory converting his food technology skills to those of soil, rock and engineering. The analysis of raw materials for civil construction was a good fit with Neil who became the manager of the NATA testing facilities for CSR Readymix at their premier quarry in Gosnells, Western Australia. Neil successfully established and implemented the Readymix nuclear testing services in WA before being promoted as a mine manager for the Jandakot sand mining operations. At Jandakot Neil upgraded the mine processing plant for the extraction of heavy minerals converting the mine to a highly profitable operation. Neil participated in the advanced CSR Leadership and Total Quality management training schemes in which he has considerable experience. Following a sand processing plant upgrade Neil and the Readymix team were awarded a Golden Geko award of environmental excellence and mine site rehabilitation from the Dept. of Minerals & Energy Western Australia. Neil went on to achieved the role of Quality Safety and Environmental Leader to CSR Readymix before departing to found NJD Systems Resources.

Not only is Neil the developer and author of successful management systems, he is also the author of an Adventure fiction novel, The Owl with the Wooden Foot.  Neil is a naturally creative individual and storyteller who was inspired through his interest in WWII and his fathers RAF experiences and vast knowledge to write a novel that combined his experience as a mine manager.
